There will be a benefit bingo for cancer patient Buck Bickford of Waldoboro Sunday, May 18 hosted by the American Legion on Jefferson Street in Waldoboro. Doors open at 5 p.m. Games start at 6 p.m. Food will be available.

Lots of great bingo prizes donated by local and area businesses are available. Everyone has been so generous and it is appreciated.

Bickford has lost his right eye and his vision is almost gone in the left. He has lost hearing on the left side. Cancer is completely gone in the head area, but it has moved into his lung and behind his heart. He is a very brave young man at 25 years to go through so much. He is facing three months of chemo treatments three to four days a week.

The money raised will help with traveling expenses to Scarborough.

This is the fourth benefit for Bickford in the last 19 years and his family is grateful for all the communities' help over time.

Anyone who can't make the bingo but would like to contribute can send donations to Buck Bickford, PO Box 1228, Waldoboro, 04572.
